The Golden Age Trilogy is, indeed, a trilogy, and it follows the first arc of Berserk. I would say watch all three, not only is it a great start for someone new to Berserk but it's honestly one of the best anime movies I've ever seen.The original show goes much further, past The Golden Age, but it's also quite older, and some might say not as good.There is an English dub, and for once it's actually not terrible!

Most lines stay faithful to the Japanese script, save for some changes in Part 2 that actually work much better than the original. Not everyone is stellar, mind. Caska sounds too much like Claire Redfield from Resident Evil for my liking, but most of the main cast are fantastic.Hope that answers your questions. Made by the same studio who did the movie trilogy, I believe, so I'm fairly confident they'll do a good job with this one.Either way we'll find out in a month, it starts airing in July. This is a trilogy of movies of the golden age ark that was already way more fleshed out in the anime and handled better.These movies have this garbage 3D anime hybrid that focus more on the gore and raape of Berserk.(what like the Dark Swordsman ark isn't ♥♥♥♥ed up enough they have to emphasize on the gore for this too?)Just wait for the new anime to come out that actually continues from the manga not butchers what was already animated. (so yes they finally continuing the story)(all this trilogy adds is showing how Guts and Caska are rescued at the end from certain death which if you read the manga you already know, just watch this scene on youtube).
